Mary Hotel
The largest hotel in Mary — a modern base with warm classical interiors, close to ancient Merv.
Built in 2015, the Mary Hotel is the largest in the city, with 177 rooms across six floors and a classical interior of warm tones and wooden furniture, in the central district near the main bazaar.
Rooms come with air conditioning, television and a mini-bar, and the hotel offers an outdoor pool, a sauna and fitness centre, a restaurant serving Turkmen and international cuisine, two conference halls, ground-floor souvenir and carpet shops, Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk.
It is a practical, comfortable base for the UNESCO ruins of Merv, about thirty kilometres away, and the Bronze-Age site of Gonur-Depe to the north.
